Information and instructions for authors
All submitted papers will undergo a referee procedure. Accepted papers
will be published in Crystal
Research and Technology Special Issue.
Distribution of the Proceedings
Registered participants will receive one copy of the Proceedings by
mail.
Deadline
Deadline for submission of manuscripts: November
18, 2010
Length of contributions
- Contributed papers: 4 - 6 pages.
- Papers for invited lectures: 6 - 8 pages.
Formatting requirements
- Manuscripts should be prepared electronically in MS-Word® compatible
format using the template provided.
- Section breaks should not be used in the papers.
- If the template for paper preparation is not used and/or all formatting
requirements and the length restrictions are not met the paper will
not be accepted for publication.
- Papers prepared using LATEX or other text processing software will
not be accepted.

Papers have to be submitted only via the Crystal Research
and Technology manuscript submission site: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/crat
Steps for using the Crystal Research and Technology online submission
system are:

If you use the system for the first time, you need to click on the
"Create Account" link. IMPORTANT: Please check whether you
already have an account in the system before trying to create a new
one. If you have reviewed or authored for the journal in the past
you will have had an account created. If you have forgotten your login
details, enter your email address under "Password Help"
on the Log In screen. You will receive an automatically generated
e-mail, providing you with the details to access your personal site
(login and password).

Once logged in, please click on "Author Center" and let
the system guide you through the submission process. Online help is
available at all times. It will be possible to exit and re-enter the
system without losing any information at any stage of the submission
process. All submissions are kept strictly confidential.

Authors can follow the progress of their manuscripts on their personal
site: All manuscripts of the authors submitted to and all review reports
written for Crystal Research and Technology are archived here. This
author site should also be used to upload the revised and final versions
of all manuscripts submitted to the journal.
Note that when multiple files are uploaded ("Main Document"
and "Image"), the system generates a single PDF file.
Figures should preferably be submitted in full colour, but should
also be easily readable on a black/white printout.
Please, note that at the step n.1 "Type, Title & Abstract"
you have to select YES at the question regarding the Special Issue
Then at the step 5 "Details & Comments" you have to
select the Special Issue title: ICG2010.

Using the template
Download the template to your computer and save it either in your
working directory (Option 1) or in the folder where the templates
for Word are stored (Option 2).
Option 1: Make sure that Word is closed. Double-click the template.
Word will start. Save the file under the desired name and proceed
according to the instructions in the template.
Option 2: Start Word and go to the menu item 'File' / 'New...' /
'New from template'. You can select the template from a list of templates.
Then save the file under the desired name and proceed according to
the instructions in the template.
